Dedicated to university and student success
Articulate Intelligence began as a small group: there was an undergraduate, a post-doc, a professor and a university administrator. All from Oregon State University and they experienced firsthand the issues that make the university experience frustrating. From this, a mission grew. This team started building AI tools to help solve specific problems faced by university students and staff. This is how Articulate Intelligence started.
The Team
James Watson
Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder. James also an Associate Professor at Oregon State University who has raised over $6 million in research funds in the last 5 years, and leads multiple research teams that apply and advance cutting edge computer science.
John Woodill
Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder. John leads development at Articulate Intelligence Company, developing purpose-built AI solutions. He brings deep experience in data science and applied research across academia and tech-startups.
Cassius Villereal
Core Developer. Cassius builds and maintains systems at Articulate Intelligence Company, contributing across infrastructure, product, and design decisions. He is inspired to transforming education through thoughtful design.
